We all can agree. Moms are the hardest people to shop for. You don't want to let your mom down on her birthday (Hey, I thought those chore coupons were a nice gesture. Apparently not.). Looking back, I realize just how hard my mother worked to earn that prestigious title of "Mom." She always took care of me and my sisters with kindness and patience, even when she probably wanted to throw us off a cliff. I am in a trance. I think it's the post birthday party let down. It might just be plain exhaustion. Every six months or so I swear up and down that I am not planning, shopping for or hosting another birthday party. April showers bring May flowers; AND lots and lots of birthdays. I feel like every other day one of my kids is waving some really cute, fanciful invitation in my face.
