Scoobarang is an
underwater boomerang and glide disc all in one. Throw it one way
and watch it return. And with the simple shift of your wrist it
will glide under water across your pool. Scoobarang is made with a
soft latex outer surface for added safety.

So our parents and our kids were
more than excited to give the Scoobarang a try.
The review team spent plenty of time in the water and
came back with a few observations. Scoobarang was
fairly easy to throw underwater and it does return like
a boomerang fairly easily. It was definitely much
easier to toss it and watch it glide on the water (which
actually seemed to be the far more enjoyable part!).

signs of breakdown as our families played with it. |

Scoobarang doesn't have any bells or
whistles, no flashing lights or sounds. But it
doesn't really need any. It looks like a small
frisbee or flying disc. It's bright yellow design
and blue packaging did have some of the kids attention
the second they saw it. And once it's in action
Scoobarang visually takes off (literally too when thrown
on top of the water!). |

As we mentioned a little earlier,
most of the members of our review team - especially the
younger kids - seemed to enjoy gliding Scoobarang across
the top of the water (its secondary function) over
actually tossing it under the water for the boomerang
motion (its primary function). Beyond those two
functions, there isn't much more to it - and with that
in mind it didn't overwhelm the team with functionality. |

Pool toys need to stay on the
inexpensive side - and our review team knows that.
With that thought in mind, the dollar range they came up
with was right around $10. With an actual retail
price between $12 and $15 the team thought it was just a
bit too expensive. |

No member of our review team had
ever seen anything quite like Scoobarang. We have
a fairly common design - sort of like a small frisbee -
but a totally new use. |

Overall the review team enjoyed
playing with Scoobarang. It was somewhat fun
to toss it under the water for the boomerang affect,
but it was a lot of fun to skim it along the top!
Pricing was pretty good and it certainly is
original! The review team definitely felt
Scoobarang would make a nice addition to your pool
toys this summer! |
