Asssemble an eco-friendly dollhouse, then decorate it using markers and stickers! Play and pretend with the punch-out dolls and add to the fun by repurposing items from around the house! Doll house measures 21″x 17.25″x9″.
Overall the eco-friendly doll house is really easy to use, but parents heads-up – you’ll probably want to be involved in assembly. Once the house is up and running, however, you can just get out of the way. Girls and boys will enjoy decorating and playing pretend in the dollhouse they create! And best of all, parents can use this special house as another opportunity to take an extra minute to talk about the benefits of recycling.
Well, it is made of recycled cardboard. That isn’t to say that the dollhouse isn’t sturdy, we’re just saying that it isn’t wood! And with that in mind, if you have kids that are a bit tougher on their toys, this probably won’t last quite as long. But if you have kids that are careful with their toys than there are no big durability concerns – it should last as long as they want it to!
If you are one of those parents that underestimates the power of an art project, it’s time to wake it up! Kids love art projects – and the Recycled Cardboard Dollhouse is no exception! Put this little number in front of a child and watch their eyes light up! And once fully assembled and decorated, your little one will beam with pride at their creation.
Assemble it. Decorate it. Now play pretend with it. That is more than enough functionality for our liking. Your kids will have the chance to build, color, add stickers and use this dollhouse for pretend play. That is definitely big time functionality – this is an art project that lives on.
Unfortunately, like too many recycled products out there, this one costs a bit more than we would have liked. Yes, there is a lot included. And yes, there is a lot going on here. The only problem is that it is a bit pricey. With a retail price sitting just under $30, this cardboard dollhouse does sit on the high end of our “art project” price zone. Your kids will have a chance to play with it after the creative process is done, but we still would have liked this a lot more for about $10 less.
OK – art projects aren’t original. And doll houses certainly aren’t original. But when you combine the two, and add in the recycle factor – we are looking at too many awesome qualities to not call this special house all original! We love art projects. We love pretend play. And we love recycled products. Put it all together and you’ve got all original!
The Recycled Cardboard Dollhouse combines plenty of our favorites – arts and crafts, pretend play and recycling. The dollhouse is fun for boys and girls to build and decorate. And there is an extra kick for longer pretend play in this dollhouse because your kids will be so proud knowing they built it! We would have liked the price to be a few dollars less, but if you can afford to spend a few extra dollars, it will be worth it in the smiles you’ll see when your kids start building and decorating!
